Lady Indians win two of three

The Meredosia-Chambersburg-Virginia-Triopia Junior High softball team won two of their last three games to finish the regular season with a record of 12-6-1. The Lady Indians snuck by Pleasant Hill 3 to 2 in a nine-inning thriller last Tuesday, pounded Payson-Seymour 14 to 0 the next day, then lost a tough one to Carrollton 5 to 4 on Thursday.

Redbirds notch three wins on the diamond

Beardstown Police Report

Cassie J. Bent, 42, Beardstown, was arrested on a Cass County Warrant for failure to appear in court. She posted 200 bond and was released.
