A Cass county playground is planning an upgrade. Trinity Lutheran School, Arenzville, is raising funds to remodel their existing playground, enhance safety for students, and offer a play destination for families.
Even though rain cancelled the Saturday portion of the Annual Tiger Showcase, the Beardstown High School Baseball team still had a good week, going 2-1 to move their season mark to 8-4. The Tigers beat Havana 2-0, were on the wrong end of a payback 4 to 3 loss to Rushville, then pounded Bushnell Prairie City 10 to 0.
A-C Central's 8th grade Student of the Month for April is Megan Bright. Megan is the daughter of Allen and Melissa Bright.
Marriages
Improved offensive play helped the Beardstown Lady Tiger soccer team pick up two ties against one loss last week to move to 1-8-2 on the season. After only scoring one goal in their previous seven games, all losses, the Tigers scored four goals in three games last week.
The Beardstown High School track teams had two meets last week with the first being the Fresh-Soph Invite at Lewistown last Monday. The Tiger boys finished fourth out of fifteen teams and the girls finished seventh out of fourteen teams.
