The Beardstown School Board received an update from Superintendent Brent O’Daniell regarding the construction work being done by Alex DeSollar at their June 18 meeting. Superintendent O’Daniell said there is a lot of water on the building’s roof due to clogged drains.
JBS employees and members of UFCW Local 431 working at the Beardstown pork processing plant were prepared on Tuesday afternoon to peacefully protest to inform the public of their labor dispute with JBS. The protest concerned a dispute over JBS's attendance policy.
