Newly remodeled Beardstown Walmart Supercenter re-opens

Walmart customers in Beardstown were welcomed inside the newly transformed Supercenter at 100 Lincoln Avenue Saturday, September 13, as the much-anticipated project is now complete. Creating omni-channel shopping experiences that save customers time and money, Walmart continues its transformational journey to become America’s favorite place to shop whether in-store, online or via the mobile app.

Ashland may get more stop signs

The Ashland Village Board considered a resident’s request to add stop signs at two intersections on the north side of Ashland at last week’s village board meeting. As a result, a stop sign ordinance is expected to be voted on at next month’s meeting.

Unsung hero retires

After over thirty-three years of service to the community of Beardstown serving on the Beardstown Fire, Ambulance and Rescue, Randy Robeson has retired. To say he will be missed by those he served with and those he served would be an understatement.
