Virginia teen earns scholarship along with college credits

High school has been an exceptional journey for Lauren O’Daniell, a journey that allowed Lauren to begin her college education and be rewarded with an academic scholarship.
The talented 18-year-old will attend Aurora University in Aurora this fall. O’Daniell, who graduates from Virginia High School this month, will study nursing at AU. The financial burden of her education was eased last week when it was announced Aurora University awarded O’Daniell a $13,000-a-year academic scholarship.
In addition to the scholarship, O’Daniell will enter college with a good number of college credits. In fact, it appears she will have sufficient credits to begin her Aurora University experience as a sophomore. She will take one more class for credit this summer.
