Weird weddings, absurd animals, and trivia too

It is time for a column where I can write about what I see in the newspaper, a little about stranger than fiction items, weddings, animals, “Did you know,” and a little about ladies’ breasts.
    ** WEDDINGS:
    * Marriage may be good for the heart - that comes from a study of over 4 million Americans. I guess at our age we must have very good hearts; our marriage has been good. Dr. Jeffery Berger says that it might be that if someone is married they have a spouse who encourages them to take better care of themselves.
    * At the recent Chicago Marathon, when Mark Jockel and Stephanie Reinhart reached the eight-mile mark, they quickly stepped off the course. There was a trellis to stand under and a preacher waiting there for them. He had them say their vows, and they were married in 55 seconds. After a quick swallow of Gatorade they got back in the race. They did the last 18-mile lap through the city before finishing as a married couple.
