Pickle ball gains popularity

    Pickle ball is the fastest-growing athletic activity in the country.  Pickle ball is a contagious and incurable disease that over 200,000 people in the United States are playing. Although it has just become very popular recently, the game of Pickle ball was actually created in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, Wash.
    Joe Prichard, Bill Bell and Barney McCallum were three dads whose kids were bored with their usual summertime activities and doing a lot of whining. As a result, the dads got together and invented the game of Pickle ball.
    The badminton shuttlecock couldn’t be found, so they used a whiffleball and made some wood paddles. As the game evolved through the afternoon it was decided that you could hit the ball after one bounce. The afternoon was enjoyed by all, but what about tomorrow?
