More trivia and a rare dollar bill

This is another trivia column with odds and ends and bits from my readers.
****Here I am thinking I am the oldest person writing a column for a newspaper and someone sends me the information that Sid Hartman, who is 97 years old, started writing for the Minneapolis Star Tribune when he was 25 years old. He is still a sports writer who also has been a sportscaster and commentator for a Minneapolis radio station. He was raised in Minneapolis and dropped out of high school and started passing papers for the Minneapolis paper. He has been a popular and widely read sports writer. Dick Cullem, Hartman’s first boss, explained it this way. “Writers are a dime a dozen but reporters are hard to find.” Steve Rshin of Sports Illustrated noted “English sometimes appears to be his second language.” That, I must admit, is the only similarity to my column.
