An inspiring article in time for Easter

Time does fly, Christmas over, then New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and now Easter time. As a child, Easter was always a favorite time of the year for me. My little sister always received her annual new dress, and Dale and I would have new knickers from Sears Roebuck to wear to Sunday School. I believe I was 10 years old before I had long pants. I know I believed in the Easter bunny for a long time. It was 7 a.m. on Easter morning the year I doubted the Easter bunny story, but then it happened: Mother called, “You kids look out the bedroom window.” A dash to the windows and there were two rabbits running across the neighbor’s yard. I believed one more year.
Dad would always bring home excelsior, a straw-like material used for packing crates, ideal for Dale, Jane and me to make our nests for the Easter bunny to bring the Easter eggs. In those first years of Sunday School I learned that Jesus loved little children and Jesus was just as important as my Dad and Santa Claus. I want to write an Easter column, and I just read an article in the morning paper that I will share.
