Virginia honors Veterans during school assembling

Students, staff, and community members of Virginia were able to enjoy a Veteran’s day assembly at the high school on Friday, November 10th.  During the assembly students from the local FFA chapter were the honor guard in charge of raising the flag.  Select students in 6-12 had speaking roles where they gave a short presentation on the history of the major branches.  The elementary students lead the school in the “National Anthem” and “America the Beautiful.”

Virginia Junior High boys hoops results

A busy week of basketball did not produce the results the Virginia Junior High boys’ basketball team was hoping for last week as both the 7th and 8th grade teams lost two out of three games.  There was some solace in the fact that the only win for each squad came against Cass County rival AC-Central.
