Virginia Mayor honors 1955 Virginia Jr. High Baseball State Champions
During the Monday night meeting of the Virginia City Council, Andy Carpenter, member of the 1992 State Championship team, read a proclamation to honor the 1955 Virginia Redbird Jr. High Baseball team on the very first IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) state tournament win.
