Street repairs to be completed in the near future

The Beardstown City Council approved the fourth payment resolution in the amount of $764,158.40 for the USDA Sanitary Sewer Replacement project (Hood Construction Group Midwest LLCC $734,699.60 and $29,458.80 to Benton & Associates). With this payment the infrastructure is complete, now the concrete work for the streets and curbs will begin. Weather permitting, this work will begin this week on Washington Street and hopefully be completed throughout Beardstown sometime by the end of May.
