BHS Soccer Season Ends

Despite playing under a first-year head coach and having only two seniors, the Beardstown High School soccer team advanced to the Regional Championship game this season.

Unfortunately, a very good Peoria Christian Chargers team ended the Tigers’ season there.  The Chargers jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime and added an insurance goal in the second half to get a 3-0 shutout victory over BHS. Peoria Christian, now 21-4-2 on the year, knocked off Rock Island Alleman 4-0 in the sectional semi-final and were scheduled to face Quincy Notre Dame for the sectional title on October 24.
