Patty was born in the spring of 2023 and has been at the shelter since May 25, 2025. She is a super sweet girl who likes to greet people at the door. She is vocal, playful, and gets along well with other cats.

Illinois State Police investigates fatal school bus crash

Schuyler County Monday, March 11, when a Rushville-Industry school bus and a semi-truck crashed on US Route 24 that erupted in flames. The crash occured at 11:30 a.m.

Schuyler County Coroner Terry Millslagle pronounced the school bus driver, three children on the bus and driver of the semi-truck dead at the scene. Victims were David Coufal, 72, Browning; Angela Spiker, 57, Rushville; Maria Miller, 5, Rushville; Andrew Miller, 3, Rushville; and Noah Driscoll, 3, Rushville.

All five were transported to Memorial Hospital in Springfield where post-examinations were conducted.
