Schuyler County Monday, March 11, when a Rushville-Industry school bus and a semi-truck crashed on US Route 24 that erupted in flames. The crash occured at 11:30 a.m.
Schuyler County Coroner Terry Millslagle pronounced the school bus driver, three children on the bus and driver of the semi-truck dead at the scene. Victims were David Coufal, 72, Browning; Angela Spiker, 57, Rushville; Maria Miller, 5, Rushville; Andrew Miller, 3, Rushville; and Noah Driscoll, 3, Rushville.
All five were transported to Memorial Hospital in Springfield where post-examinations were conducted.
