Garfield, a tabby cat

Pet of the Week

Garfield is a handsome, two-year-old who loves his food. He is affectionate, rambunctious, but also calm. Due to being FIV positive, there is no adoption fee; we would just love to see him go into a great home and find his forever family! FIV is an immouno-suppressing virus. FIV typically spreads from cat to cat by bite wounds. FIV is not transmittable to other species, and cats with FIV typically live full, happy lives. This goofy boy, along with all other animals at SCHS will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before adoption. You can meet Garfield and all pets at Schuyler County Humane Society, 17000 County Farm Road in Rushville. Visitor hours are Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon, and Sundays from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. You can also make an appointment by calling (217) 322-2220.
