Season ends at Sectional for area golfers

The high school golf season ended in sectional play for all the area golfers as several local players made it past regional, but none were able to qualify for State Tournament play.

A-C Central Senior Student of the Month for September is Maximilian Kesselring. Max is the son of Brett & Jackie Kesselring.

Trojans claim Black & Blue Trophy

The Triopia-Meredosia-Chambersburg-Virginia High School Football team reclaimed the coveted Black and Blue Trophy with a homecoming win over Cass County rival Beardstown last Friday night. Just as importantly to the Trojans, they kept alive their very real playoff hopes, improving to 3-3.

Double digit wins for Tiger Soccer

For the fifth consecutive season the Beardstown High School boys’ soccer team has earned double digits in the win column. Two wins and a tie last week pushed the Tigers’ season mark to 10-3-3.

Lady Trojan Volleyball nets two more wins

The Triopia-Meredosia-Chambersburg-Virginia High School volleyball team won two of three games last week to improve to 14-6 on the year. The junior varsity won all three contests in three sets and are 11-3-2 on the season.

Lady Tigers top Cougars

The Beardstown High School volleyball team picked up their first win of the season last Thursday, topping West Central in three sets to move to 1-13 on the year.
