Beardstown School board member named to Rural Advising Council

During the committee reports at the Beardstown School board meeting on March 20th, board member Brenda Algandar reported she had been named to the Rural Advising Council.    

The first meeting was held on February 27th and named Dr. Garrison from Vandalia the chairperson. She expressed this council is a way to communicate with the government the needs of rural education. They will be meeting with legislators at their next meeting. This council will meet four times yearly.
