BHS and Virginia-Triopia golf results

The Beardstown High School golf team continues to work hard and improve. On Monday August 28 at Shambolee Golf Course in Petersburg, sophomore Mary Escobar led BHS with a score of 62. Last Tuesday, the girls squad traveled to Rolling Greens in Mt. Sterling and brought home second place, led by senior Saray Chaparro. For the boy’s Cade Ross placed 5th individually, shooting a nice round of 42. Coach Riddle commented after the Brown County meet, “Both teams played well and are really making progress.” On Thursday the boys traveled to Plum Creek at Winchester where Grady O’Hara placed second, firing a 43 and Ross finished in the top five with a 45. On Friday at the K’s Creek Invite, playing 18 holes, Ross finished tied for 11th with an 83 and O’Hara was 19th overall with a 90.
