Trojans stop Panthers 20-6

Trojans bring strong defensive effort

Normally it’s their strong ground game that Triopia hangs its hat on, however last Friday night the defense put on the show as Triopia tripped up the Panthers from Camp Point Central 20-7. Led by Austin Holt’s strong effort with 12 solo tackles and Jared Milby’s six solo stops in his first varsity start, the Big Blue were able to hold Camp Point Central to only 176 yards in 44 attempts.
The Big Blue served notice to the Brown County Hornets that Triopia was a contender and not pretender in the WIVC North Division battle for the division title.
Triopia’s Blake Lawson picked up where he left off from last week’s great effort by rushing for 108 yards on 16 attempts, including a go ahead 62-yard touchdown gallop midway through the second period.
