It’s on to the Supersectional

Goin’ to Granite City; Granite City here we come

For the second straight year the BHS Tiger Soccer team is headed to the super-sectional, where they will meet Waterloo Gibault (14-7-1) at 6:00 p.m. in Granite City. Gibault is ranked No. 3 and BHS No. 4 in the state poll by MaxPreps.
The O&B knocked off Raymond Lincolnwood (18-4-2) in a first round sectional match by a 5-2 final that was called due to a lightning strike during a torrential rainstorm with just over 10:00 to play. In the championship contest played last Saturday at Macon (Meridian) the home town lads defeated Teutopolis by a 4-1 final to advance to the Granite City Class 1A super-sectional.
