Beardstown wrestlers participate in Chatham Tourney
The BHS Tigers opened their season with a bang with a 10-0 mauling of Camp Point Central Monday in a shortened five-inning affair. In the process the hometowners also got a no-hitter from three O&B hurlers.
Rick Dour started and got the win, working 2.2 innings, walking only one while striking out four. Marcus Bauser went 2.0 innings, and Carlos Jimenez finished up. Neither Bauser or Jimenez allowed a hit or a run in the win.
The locals exploded for all 10 runs in the big second inning in the season opener for both clubs.
