Beardstown Tigers earn split for the week; go 1-1

Lose to Lewistown and top Routt

The O&B lost at home to Lewistown by a 60-35 final, and then picked up a win on the road in their last regular season game 40-30 over Jacksonville Routt.
The Tigers stayed with the taller Lewistown crew, trailing only 11-10 with 2:25 left in the opening frame, but were down 20-13 at the end of the frame. The locals had no answer for 6’4” Justin Burdess who scored 6-for-6 from the field for the Indians.
The pace slowed in the second quarter when the Tigers closed to 22-17, but again Lewistown’s spurt at the end on an 8-0 run  gave them a 30-17 margin heading into intermission as the locals hit a dry spell and did not score in the final 5:34 of the second period.
