Special Olympics athletes to compete in Area Spring Games

    Families, volunteers and spectators will be cheering on men and women, boys and girls – all Special Olympics athletes - as they compete in the largest Area event of the year for Special Olympics Illinois West Central/Area 11.
    The annual Spring Games take place on May 3 at Flinn Stadium in Quincy. The public is invited to watch the competition. West Central/Area 11 is composed of Adams, Brown, Cass, Greene, Pike, Schuyler, Scott, and Hancock counties in West Central Illinois.
    At the West Central/Area 11 Spring Games, approximately 85 athletes are expected to compete in athletics (track & field), the most popular of 19 sports offered by Special Olympics Illinois.
