Sara Catherine Thompson Price, 81, Beardstown, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
    She was born November 28, 1939 in Beardstown, the daughter of George Maurice and Lora Catherine Potter Thompson. She married David Alan Price in 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1994.
    She is survived by one brother-in-law, Larry Price; three sisters-in-law, Anna Price of Joliet, Shirley (Frank) Castillo of Braceville and Estella “Teddi” Price of Armington; twelve nieces and ten nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Alice Lambert and one, in infancy; and one brother, Maurice Junior Thompson.
    She was a 1957 graduate of Rushville High School. Following graduation Sara was employed by the Secretary of State’s Office in Springfield, before working for Avis Car Rental in Chicago and then cleaned homes and businesses alongside her husband, David. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she actively involved herself in missionary work and witnessed until she fell asleep in death. Sara enjoyed walking and meeting new people.
