Sandra “Sandy” Fox, 73, Beardstown, died Saturday, July 24, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
    She was born December 16, 1947 in Beardstown,, the daughter of Clarence and Ilene VanHyning Pate. She married Robert Alan Fox in 1965 in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1969.
    She is survived by three children, Brad (Michelle) Fox of Beardstown; Misty (Paul) Morris of Frederick and Joe Hamlin of Beardstown; six grandchildren, Adam (Caitlyn) Hulvey of Rushville, Mackenzie Fox of St. Louis, Madyson Fox, Sydnee Hamlin, Gracyn Hamlin and Ryder Hamlin, all of Beardstown; two great-grandchildren, Elaina and Lucas Hulvey of Rushville; two brothers, Clarence “Corky” (Linda) Pate of Rushville and Tom (Amber) Pate of Beardstown; several nieces and nephews; and her miniature yorkie, Wheezy.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Sally Pherigo, Lonnie Suddeth, Linda Derry and Pat Humphery; and longtime companion, Jack Parrish.
    She was employed, as a certified nurses assistant at area healthcare institutions, including The Cottage in Beardstown. She attended First Southern Baptist Church in Beardstown. She enjoyed flower gardening and going out to eat with friends. She relished being a grandmother and attending all her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.
    A funeral service was held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with burial at Beardstown City Cemetery.
