Randy L. Weishaar, 73, Browning, died at 6:08 p.m on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born on May 14, 1948 in Schuyler County, the son of Homer Lee and Annabelle (DeMoss) Weishaar.

He is survived by his son, Homer Randall “Sluggo” (and Jill) Weishaar of Browning; two daughters, Sally Ann Weishaar of Browning and Kelly (and Pat) Cagle of Beardstown; four grandchildren, Bradley Randall Weishaar, Randi Leigh Weishaar, Franki Nichole Weishaar and Nicholas Reid Weishaar, and his sister, Debbie (and George) Runkels of Springfield.

He is preceded by his parents.   

Randy was a member of Laborers 165 in Peoria, for 50 years. He was also a Commercial Fisherman.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1969.

He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Interment will be in the Browning Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022. A celebration of life will follow at noon at Sally’s 4th Street Bistro in Beardstown. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
