Beardstown Police
    Resisting
    Jesus J. Rivera-Alvarez, 34, of Beardstown was cited for resisting and obstructing a peace officer on May 14 at 3:03 a.m. Rivera-Alvarez was lodged in Schuyler Co. Jail and given notice to appear on June 13.
    Fleeing
    Jason O. Castro, 29, of Marion was cited for aggravated fleeing, improper vehicle lighting, driving while license suspended, and disobeying a stop sign on May 14 at 3:03 a.m. Castro was lodged in the Schuyler Co. Jail and given notice to appear on June 13.
    Traffic
    Dalton L. Coil, 21, of Beardstown was cited for operating a vehicle while using a cell phone on May 4 at 4:23 p.m.
    Christopher L. McKay, 36, of Macomb was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle on May 14 at 2:05 p.m. and given notice to appear on June 14.
    Accidents
    An accident occurred on May 13 at 4:32 p.m. when an unknown vehicle struck a vehicle belonging to Angela Preper of Beardstown.
    An accident occurred on May 15 at 10:10 a.m. when a vehicle driven by Lacey Jo Brannen of Beardstown backed into a vehicle driven by Maikel Ruiz Berrell of Beardstown.
    An accident occurred on May 13 at 2:45 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Allison X. Morales of Beardstown backed into a parked vehicle owned by Renee E. Rebarcak of Mount Sterling.
    An accident occurred on May 4 at 7:10 a.m. when a vehicle driven by Cassie J. Devore of Rushville struck a vehicle driven by Brad Wankel of Beardstown.
Cass Co. Court
    Michael J. Preston, 38, of Ashland plead guilty to the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. Preston was fined in the amount of $1,677.00 total and granted time to pay.
    Stanley D. Ballinger, 53, of Beardstown plead guilty to 4 counts of driving while his license was revoked. Ballinger was sentenced to 8 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with 1 year Mandatory Supervised Release, given credit for 121 days served, fined in the amount of $2,400.00 plus costs for a total of $6,082.00, and granted time to pay.
    Michael A. Gonzalez, 22, of Beardstown plead guilty to the charge of possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. Gonzalez was fined in the amount of $120.00 plus costs for a total of $1,092.00 and granted time to pay.
