May it please the court

Bestowing his honors— George McClure, left,  and Milton McClure, right, help newly-elected Cass County Resident Judge T.J. Wessel don his judicial robe for the first time during investiture ceremonies held Friday, Nov. 30 at the courthouse in Virginia.  Wessel began his legal career first as a clerk at the McClure firm while attending law school, and as an attorney after completing law school.  “Law school taught me about the law.  The McClures taught me about the practice of law,” Wessel said. Retired Judge Tom Brannan presented Judge Wessel for investiture.  Wessel, along with retired Judges Bob Hardwick, and Brannan is the third member from the firm to hold a seat on the bench.
