Peggy (Peg) Bambrick Rink, 80 of Beardstown, died Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Norwood Crossing in Chicago.

She was born July 19, 1943, in Peoria, the daughter of James and Dorothy Bambrick. She married Emil (Ed) Rink February 4, 1967, at First United Methodist church in Peoria, and he precedes her in death.

They have two children Edward Anton (Gina) Rink of Chicago Illinois, and Sara Marie Rink (Daniel) Buis of Waukee Iowa. She is also preceded death by one son in infancy.

Peg’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren Natalie Buis, Zackary Buis, Nori Buis, Evan Rink, and Frankie Rink.

Peg was a graduate of Bradley University with a Bachelor’s in education, becoming a teacher of second grade, and eventually pre-

school in Beardstown. Peg was a member of the Beardstown PEO, and Garden Club. She was also a member First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beardstown where she taught Sunday School, assisted during VBS, helped communion preparation, and cooked for many funeral dinners.

Funeral Services were held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beardstown at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 14,  2023. A visitation was held at 9:00 Prior to the funeral Friday at the church.

Memorials have been suggested to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beardstown, and Christian Love and Action (CLIA).
