The Chandlerville Village Board swore in their new Village President, Dean Eilers, incumbent Village Clerk, Dena Leinberger, and elected incumbent Trustees Adam Pherigo, Troy Campbell and new Trustee Claudette Givens. The board then accepted the appointment of new Trustees Cole Whitehead and Kenny Collins by Village President Dean Eilers.
This weekend I broke out the kiddie pool for my two young children. They wanted to play outside, but the weather was warm, so I thought some water to splash in would be perfect! It was one of those little easy “Dad wins” that make you feel like with just a little effort brings about a huge payoff.
Chris and Jennifer Jarrett purchased their home at 812 State Street, Beardstown, in 2018 and are continuously adding and upgrading their outdoor look. When asked what the inspiration is for their yard décor they stated ”we purchase unique items with color!” Mitch and Paige Seward made 703 Garden Ave., Beardstown, their home less than a year ago, just in time for the arrival of Baby Riley.
The Cass County Courthouse in Virginia will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.

Jade Hatton’s fourth grade class of published authors had some brave volunteers who attended the May 19th Viginia School Board meeting to read excerpts from their book to the board members and guests. Each child wrote a separate page about what they would do if the adults would suddenly disappear from the earth.
