There were four games on the schedule in local Pony League action with Prestige World Travel out of Beardstown playing Virginia on Monday and Thursday and Triopia taking on the Rushville Wrench Warmers in a double header on Thursday. Prestige rolled to two victories over Virginia, holding the Redbirds to just one hit in each game to improve to 6-2 on the year.

Six senior athletes from Beardstown High School will be representing the Tigers in an Illinois versus Missouri All-Star game in July. Three baseball Tigers and three softball Tigers have earned the honor of playing.

Triopia-Meredosia-Virginia High School baseball has hired a new coach, and he is jumping right in the saddle by offering a youth baseball camp this summer. Jody Parrish has been tabbed as the new baseball coach for the Trojans, starting with the 2026 season.

The dates and locations for the 2025 District 17 Little League 9/10-year-old and 11/12-year-old All-Star softball tournaments have been announced. The 9/10-year-olds will play a five-team double elimination tournament while the 11/12-year-old tourney will be a four-team double elimination affair.

Excessive heat forced the postponement of week one games of the Beardstown Youth Soccer League scheduled for Saturday, June 21, at the Beardstown Park District Soccer Fields. A makeup date will be announced later but the full schedule of games for all divisions is here.
