Lady Trojans are Regional Champs!

After falling just short the last two seasons, the Triopia-Meredosia-Virginia High School softball team are Regional Champions. The Lady Trojans beat Payson-Seymour in a 1-0 thriller last Saturday at home for their first regional title in thirteen years.

Health issues take its toll

This past winter has been a tough one for me, especially February and March. Three trips to the hospital in Springfield plus two ambulance rides does take its toll on anyone, but especially senior citizens.

Meadow was born in the spring of 2022 and she came to the humane society pregnant and had a litter of kittens in the spring of 2024. She is the sweetest girl who loves to explore and to be pettted.

Lady Tiger Soccer in Championship

The Beardstown High School girls’ soccer team will be playing for a Regional Title for the second straight season. The seventh-seeded Lady Tigers pulled off a huge first round upset last Friday, notching a 2 to 1 win over number two-seeded Monmouth-Roseville at their place to advance to the title game.

Season wins record for Lady Trojans

A 4-1 week for the Triopia-Meredosia-Virginia High School softball team gave the Lady Trojans a regular season ending mark of 25-7, setting a new team record for wins in a season. Mylee Tracy also broke the individual season pitching wins record for the big blue.
