Members of the Virginia FFA chapter attended the 97th annual Illinois FFA State Convention June 10-12 along with more than 5,000 other FFA members, advisors, and guests. Bud Dietsch, Chandlerville, and Paul Harris, Ashland, were part of the recent Honor Flight that flies veterans to Washington DC to visit memorials built to commemorate their service and sacrifice. Their flight was June 3 and both had escorts.
Rhianna Simpson reported to the Chandlerville Village Board on June 11th that the First (and will become annual) Memorial Day Festival held on May 24th was a success. The four teams that participated in the event were very happy with the event and expressed interest in returning next year.
