The public is invited to an Open House to celebrate Gladys Miller Rust's birthday. She turned 80 years old on June 9.
Pony League Baseball action
There were four games on the schedule in local Pony League action with Prestige World Travel out of Beardstown playing Virginia on Monday and Thursday and Triopia taking on the Rushville Wrench Warmers in a double header on Thursday. Prestige rolled to two victories over Virginia, holding the Redbirds to just one hit in each game to improve to 6-2 on the year.
Six Tigers play in IL vs. MO game
Six senior athletes from Beardstown High School will be representing the Tigers in an Illinois versus Missouri All-Star game in July. Three baseball Tigers and three softball Tigers have earned the honor of playing.
