Suzzane Steckel, auditor from Benton & Associates, presented the March 31, 2025 audit from the Village of Chandlerville to the board. Steckel reported there were no problems with the audit.
Kent Andrew acting as Mayor Pro Temp, and Alderwoman Megan Werner discussed that the Police Committee had met and went over what the qualifications, salary, and hours needed for the new police chief in Virginia require.
Ashland will be getting a new mayor as of July 31st. Current Trustee Nancy Kyrouac will replace Mayor Kitty Mau.
The Jacksonville Center for the Arts Board, whose mission is to create a multi-purpose civic center with performing arts facilities serving as a community hub and economic engine, has elected two new directors: Katie McDannald, student and community engagement coordinator at Lincoln Land Community College, and Pam Martin, recently retired director of the Jacksonville Memorial Hospital Foundation. Current Board member Gary Mather was elected vice president.
