Jill Roegge and Isaac French cut the ribbon in front of their new coffee shop location.

Ribbon cutting at Isaac’s Coffee Shop

Once Isaac French graduated from the Triopia where he served the teachers their daily coffee, Isaac’s mom, Jill Roegge, decided since the day training program in Beardstown had closed, Isaac needed daily activity. Isaac has Down syndrome. And going with Isaac’s love of serving the teachers their coffee, Jill opened a small coffee shop with Isaac. It all began in July of 2021 in a pull behind trailer for Isaac to continue to bless his teachers with his special coffee.

Virginia resident concerned over American rights

I believe that every legal USA citizen still has freedoms. Our country’s founders all had personally experienced repression and no rights under the King George III regime. The first ten amendments in the Constitution guarantees us, “We the People” our rights in the Bill of Rights.

Bits & Pieces – A note from a tiny bat

“Hi there, I am a little bat. I do not suck your blood and I definitely don’t want to get stuck in your hair. That’s just gross! If I should accidentally fly into your house, please don’t hit me with cricket bats and brooms, it really hurts and I am so scared! It was an accident. I didn’t mean to scare you! I am just as scared as you are. I am fighting for my life and you are just scared. It is not a fair fight.

Focus on Faith – Being patient is not easy

How many times daily do you look at your watch?  I’m guessing quite a few.  We live in the day and age where time seems to be slipping away and we get so impatient about everything. Patience is so difficult in our culture because we feel like we have so many things to do. We are always trying to figure out how to cram more and more things into less and less time. And that means that we allow less and less time for things that are important. We don’t want to waste time because we feel the pressure of all we think we have to get done.
