Even though he posted on social media last week that he was resigning from the Beardstown City Council, First Ward Alderman Eric Harbin has changed his mind and withdrawn his resignation. The resignation was effective August 1.

District Curriculum Director Frank Shaw reported to the Beardstown School Board on July 16th that the district goals of increasing both the math scores and English, Language Arts (ELA) scores by three percent each year have mostly been met.
