Slow down, IDOT mowing
The Illinois Department of Transportation is reminding the public that roadside mowing is underway, requiring drivers to slow down, avoid all distractions and proceed with caution when encountering equipment and personnel. The heaviest mowing operations will continue until Aug. 15.
Savion sells 150 MW Illinois Solar Energy Project
avion, LLC (Savion) announced today the closed agreement to sell the 150 megawatt (MW) Cass County Solar Project to Ameren Missouri. The project, located in Cass County near Beardstown, Illinois, is expected to utilize up to 330,000 solar modules across approximately 1,700 acres, with approximately 600 acres outside the project fence to be vegetated and returned to farming use.
Agreement reached between Beardstown, UFCW 431
At the July 2 Beardstown City Council meeting, an agreement was reached between the City of Beardstown and the United Food & Commercial Workers Local 431 representing the Public Works and City Hall employees.
