AADM celebrates 17 years

The dancers and teachers of All About Dance & More, LLC. are excited and honored to have the local support at Recital 2024, “90’s Nostalgia,” during the weekend of May 31st - June 2nd. This event was held at the Brown County High School Auditorium. The studio celebrated 17 years of business at this recital.

Cortes to play in high school All-Star game

Beardstown graduating senior Gustavo Cortes has been selected to play in the 10th Annual Missouri vs. Illinois High School All-Star Baseball Game.  

The game will be held at Veterans Field in Hannibal, Missouri on Saturday, July 13th. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 7:00 p.m. and admission will be available at the gates. Tickets are $10 per patron with children five years of age and under free.

Beardstown Softball All-Stars Are State Bound

After an abundantly exciting three wins in District play, the Beardstown 11/12-year-old softball all-stars are State Tournament bound. Following their first round 4 to 3 win over Pike County, the Tigers knocked off host Rushville in two thrilling contests, 4 to 3 and 3 to 0 to claim the District Championship. The trip to state will be the kind that the parents love as Beardstown will make the hop, skip and jump across the Illinois River, back to Rushville to play, opening at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6.
