Cooking with Comfort set for Oct. 7
Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville, will hold a Stirring Up Comfort Class featuring soups, stews, sauces and S’mores from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7 at the Golden Age Center, 111 W. Third Street, Beardstown.

Ross is All-Conference for Tiger Golf
Beardstown junior golfer, Carter Ross, made the West Central Conference All-Conference team by virtue of his fifth-place finish at the conference meet at Westview Golf Course in Quincy last Wednesday.
PORTA-AC Central Golf
Both the girls’ and boys’ PORTA-AC Central High School Golf Teams finished off their regular season last week. The Lady Bluejays went to Scripps Park in Rushville for a dual with Rushville on Monday and got the win, shooting 202.

On Thursday, September 18, the Beardstown Middle School and High School Cross Country Teams each hosted their only home meet of the season, taking time to acknowledge eighth grade and senior runners between races.
