Home meet for Tiger Cross Country

On Thursday, September 18, the Beardstown Middle School and High School Cross Country Teams each hosted their only home meet of the season, taking time to acknowledge eighth grade and senior runners between races.

Bluejay Football flies by Cardinals

The PORTA-AC Central High School football team picked up an important win last week to move to 2-3 on the season, blowing out rival Pleasant Plains 42 to 8. Triopia-Meredosia-Chambersburg-Virginia lost to a very good Brown County team by an identical score of 42 to 8 and are also 2-3 on the season.

Lady Trojan Volleyball nets two more wins

The Triopia-Meredosia-Chambersburg-Virginia High School volleyball team won two of three games last week to improve to 14-6 on the year. The junior varsity won all three contests in three sets and are 11-3-2 on the season.

Lady Tigers top Cougars

The Beardstown High School volleyball team picked up their first win of the season last Thursday, topping West Central in three sets to move to 1-13 on the year.

Bridge repairs progressing as planned

Work on the bridge from Beardstown to Schuyler County continues and repairs are on schedule, according to Paul Wappel, Public Information Officer of Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
