Virginia FFA member first to receive American Degree since 1928

Emma Lyons, Virginia High School graduate of the Class of 2024, accomplished being the second student in the school’s history to receive the American FFA degree for her Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) and outstanding FFA Membership. The last American degree awarded to a Virginia High School student was Charles Crum in 1928.

A-C board mulls reorganization

The A-C Central Board continued its discussion of reorganization options at last week’s meeting of the village board. Several options were discussed including arrangements with districts other than PORTA as part of their brainstorming of the issue.
