Sherry Lynn Campbell
Sherry Lynn Campbell, 68, formerly of Winchester and Beardstown, died Friday, July 5, at her home in Meredosia.
She was born September 13, 1950 in Beardstown, the daughter of Ora Thomas and Imogene Hirte Campbell.
She is survived by one daughter, Ami Lynn (Kevin) Knous of Meredosia; four grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Parker and Peyton Knous, all of Meredosia; one great-grandson, Ayden Gerecke of Meredosia.
Also surviving are three sisters, Dorothy Swan of Beardstown, Betty (Gordon) Lovekamp of Jacksonville and Sondra (Gary Mayes) Walters of Beardstown; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime friend and caregiver, Amanda Ore of Bluffs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her yellow lab, Rudy.
Ms. Campbell worked at Capitol Records in Jacksonville and was a caregiver for several area families. She had a love for animals, the ocean and river. She enjoyed flower and rock gardening, listening to music, horseback riding and reading. Sherry’s true love was for her family.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. There will be no formal services and private burial will be held at a later date.
