Richard L. “Dick” Krohe August 18, 1933 - May 20, 2015

    Richard L. “Dick” Krohe, 81, of Beardstown, died Wednesday, May 20, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
    He was born August 18, 1933 in Beardstown, the son of Glen and Theodore “Teddy” Wells Krohe. He married Frances Perrine in September of 1955 in Charleston, S.C. and she survives.
    Also surviving are two sons: James (Donna) Krohe of Humble, Texas and David Krohe of Bluff Springs; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Alspach, Justin (Monica) Krohe, Halie and Abby Krohe; and two great-grandchildren: Christian and Owen Alspach.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Natalie Krohe; and one brother, James Lee Krohe.
    Dick was a 1951 graduate of Beardstown High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. Dick owned and operated Krohe Floor Covering in Beardstown for several years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was  gifted in wood carving and especially enjoyed carving ducks.
    A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 23, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beardstown with burial at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
