Marilyn Rining McCoy March 19, 1956 - February 23, 2014
Marilyn Rining McCoy, 58, of Browning, passed away at 8:46 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23, at her residence. She was born on March 19, 1956 in Beardstown, a daughter of Donald and Audrey Workman Rining.
She married Terry McCoy on May 25, 1986 in Bluff Springs. He survives along with her mother; one brother, Rick Rining of Browning; eight children: Jeff Boyd (Fiance’ Beverly Schafer), Jennifer Reller (husband, Jason) all of Browning, Cheryl McCoy Collison of Springfield, Shelly Wessel (husband, Brad) of Chandlerville, Kelly McCoy (friend, Shawn) of Beardstown, Kris McCoy (wife Angela) of Lincoln, Neb., Leila McCoy and Blake McCoy (wife, Tiffany) all of Sioux City, Iowa; 15 grandchildren: Mackenzie Curry, Jacob Reller, Jeffrey Boyd, Kayse Boyd, Travis McLain, Trevor McLain, Laci McLain, Claire McLain, Mason Wessel, Cass Wessel, Morgan Wessel, Kaden McCoy, Bryce Harris, Abby McCoy, Thatcher McCoy; five great-grandchildren: Beau Brough, Charlotte Wessel, Penelope Wessel, Jackson McLain, and Hadleigh McLain.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Janice Lea Mills.
Marilyn enjoyed working at the River’s Edge for many years. She loved her horses, fishing, boating and was an avid bowler. Marilyn always thought of everyone else before herself. Her greatest joy was attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Worthington Funeral Home with the Rev. Charla Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Messerer Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Rocket Boosters or Cass-Schuyler Hospice.
