BCA breaks ground on new classroom wing

Armed with shovels of all shapes and sizes, members of Beardstown’s First Christian Church, ranging from single digits their 90s came together for a single purpose.

Collectively they broke ground for Beardstown Christian Academy’s new academic wing.

“This is a big deal for us,” Pastor Mike Courson said of the project. “We’ve prayed over it, we’ve fasted, and we’ve planned for it, and now it’s finally starting to come together.”

Preparations for the construction project involved the demolition of a garage that stood on the property, and the relocation of a portable classroom that had for decades occupied space on the new building site. &nbsp;&nbsp;<ahref="http://etypeservices.com/Cass%20County%20Star%20GazetteID497/"><spanstyl... 13px; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">To view more, please log in or subscribe to the digital edition.</span></a></p>
