A rather frigid story

    Perhaps no appliance is taken for granted more so than the electric refrigerator.
    Things sure were a lot different in the 1920s. But we need to begin our story about 3,000 years ago in China. The Chinese of that time discovered that ice could be cut from frozen bodies of water in the dead of winter and then stored for future use.
