Seeking equality and fairness

I am a long-time resident of Beardstown and on Jan. 31, I was informed by the Mayor that I had a violation for having a vehicle with no plates on it and that I had 48 hours to get rid of it. I had been rebuilding it. I had put a battery in it and a new carburetor on it. The camper was in good shape and was going to be sold when finished. It was parked in a parking lot, not my yard or the alley.
I came to find out the day I was told of my violation that the Mayor had come down to my place to speak to a mayoral candidate. After their chat, I felt guilty by association.
