An important school board proposition

I am writing this letter to encourage voters in the Virginia school district to vote for the proposition to elect school board members at-large. At-large voting would allow anyone in the district to run for school board. Currently, no more than three board members may come from any one township. This format is outdated and no longer needed. The goal of any election should be to place the best people in the district on the board, regardless of where they live within the district.
Today communication and travel is easy, fast, and convenient. People can speak to anyone with ease, unlike times in the past where people stayed close to home.
