Soil and Water Conservation Districts
Currently, there has been a great deal of publicity concerning the financial plight of Illinois’ 97 Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs). At the present time, we have been told that the State of Illinois wants to only fund 34 or 46 districts and not 97 districts. There have also been a few questions regarding the value of the SWCDs.
